 My True Experience of Life as an English Teacher I chanced upon doing my TEFL course in Ban Phe, Thailand right after my 21st birthday before I entered university. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life. The friends I met and the memorable experience I had during my course there had been one of my sweetest memories in my life. Right after completing the course, I taught in a local primary school in Phanatnikhom for 7 weeks before I started my university and it still bring tears to my eyes whenever I recalled my last week of teaching in that school. Students came nonstop to me during the entire week, giving me hugs, flowers, letters and cried in front of me begging me not to go. This course really gives you a sense of fulfillment. I also managed to teach in Shanghai during my summer vacation in university and it was indeed a wonderful experience too. Currently, I am back in my home country Singapore and I am also teaching English and Business Skills freelance while completing my Masters. TEFL is a stepping stone to a more passionate and fulfilling life and I will never ever regret my decision. OH YES! Have I mentioned that I met my present boyfriend in the TEFL course! We've been together for nearly 4 years now! Thank You TEFL International !!! << back |
