Why English Adventure camps?

English adventure camps are to help students leave their traditional classroom environment and participate in outdoor activities along with learning of English and be into an environment where the camp is executed by all Native English speakers. This helps the students to have a sense of intercultural exchange and of course it’s FUN

Why do you call it an Adventure camp then?

We combine traditional classroom methods with Western confidence-building and adventure activities like rock-wall climbing. The students will have FUN through ADVENTURE and LEARNING.

What is the basic objective of these kinds of camps?

a. To help improve students’ English language skills
b. To train students to learn how to work with other people
c. To broaden students’ perspectives in learning English with the sense of natural resources conservation
d. To conduct cultural exchanges between Thai students and non-Thai teachers/trainers

Who all can be participants of the English Adventure Camp?

Any students from age 4 to 100 can be the participants of the Camp, but we have structured groups like:-

a. Students Group from Schools up-to M6
b. University Students
c. Intercultural groups
d. Companies

Will students be able to improve their English if they participate in the camp?

Of course! Most schools tell their students have more confidence and better understand that English is a means of communication, not just a school subject.

However it’s not possible to teach English in 2-5 days time in a camp environment. Yet the students get an opportunity to interact with Native English Speakers and study using interactive communicative techniques.

What are the various facilities you have in the camp?

The facilities are as follows :-

a. The entire camp is managed by Properly qualified TESOL Certified Native Teachers and local Thai staff members
b. TEFL International provides well maintained Bungalows for students for their night stay
c. The camp offers a large play ground for the students
d. The camp is opposite to the sea, and offers plenty of sea beach activities and games

g. TEFL provides all students and teachers with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (depending on the schedule)

How may days the camps will be?

This is up to the school to decide. We offer camps from one day to 5 days even 7 days in some cases. We recommend the schools bring their students for at least a 3 days camp.

What are the normal hours of operation at the camp?

We encourage schools to arrive at 10 or 11 am. On the first day. After that we normally offer activities from 7:30 am until 9 pm, with some adjustments depending upon the age group of the students.

What about the food?

We serve all scheduled meals during your stay and can offer optional snacks and special menus upon request.

How do the students go to your location?

TEFL International does not arrange transportation. Most schools arrange for busses to meet their students at the school and drive to Ban Phe.
