It was not long before professional working teachers saw the success of TEFL International’s programs in making effective teaches, as the TEFL international pre-service TESOL certificate became immensely popular and recognized with public and private schools around the world. From 2003, independent professional teachers began to sign up for the pre-service certificate and teaching organizations began to send requests for TEFL International to share their successes in training teachers with in-service teachers. For example, the Thai Ministry of Education in March 2003 asked TEFL International to train over a thousand professional primary teachers with TEFL International successful methodologies and professional staff.

For the last five years, TEFL International has worked with, on special request, universities, independent language training organizations, government agencies and others throughout Vietnam, Thailand, China, and South Korea.

TEFL International also developed and ran multi-lingual inter-cultural camps between language learners and universities or organizations. They developed: new pre-service certificate programs (the very popular Special Thai Program for example); popular training materials for teachers; volunteer programs abroad; free teacher conferences throughout Asia; and innovative changes to the TESOL industry (such as on-line feedback, course moderating processes, etc.); and websites to help teachers develop professionally.

As a result of popular TEFL International changes to the TESOL industry and success in many of its training programs, requests by outside agencies in Europe and Asia for TEFL International to consult on more in-service teacher training have become more numerous. As a result, TEFL international has created an In-Service Training Department that will launch a series of new TEFL International In-Service Teacher Training programs and packages (Inservice).
