They had widely differing previous teaching experience as regards level, age-group, and cultural context, and the opportunity to share and evaluate, in a committed and supportive context was a key element, and was a boost to confidence. The trainees' portfolios showed a serious professional attitude and their foreign language journals in particular showed how carefully they had thought about language acquisition to the benefit of their own teaching. Facilities and resources were felt to be satisfactory. One trainee regretted not having a personal laptop, although there is a computer in the classroom for trainees' use. Another trainee said he got everything he had hoped for from the course "Information, education, experience and good people." |
