Phuket (pronounced Poo-ket) is a tropical paradise island referred to locally as the ‘Pearl of the South’. It is the biggest island in Thailand and is situated about 800 kilometres South-West of Bangkok in the beautifully clear Andaman Sea. This island has something for absolutely every visitor, including internationally renowned beaches, temples and palaces, jungles, mountains and nearby islands.

Phuket's Climate
The climate of Phuket tends to be hot and humid in the day with cooler nights all year round. Temperatures average 80-90°F (27-32°C). The rainy season lasts from July to the beginning of November with persistent but brief showers mainly in the afternoons. For the majority of the day it is nearly always clear and sunny with fantastic sunsets making this a very attractive location in which to take our course.
Cost of Living in Phuket
There is a large population of Westerners (farang) resident on this island contributing to the province having the highest per capita income in the whole of Thailand. The cost of living here is therefore higher than the rest of the country but is still a lot less expensive than living in the West.
