My True Experience of Life as an English Teacher

I completed my TEFL training in Ban Phe in 2007 and went to work at a school in Kaowong, Thailand. From there I secured a position (on the strength of my TEFL) as a primary school teacher in Vientiane, Laos. I am currently teaching Grade 6 students; I love my school and they seem to love me. I am in my second year of teaching there and my boss wishes to renew my contract. Despite having a fall out with Media Kids, and consequently never actually receiving my TEFL certificate, I have always maintained that my experience whilst training in Ban Phe was positive, worthwhile and life changing.

As a 46year old parent of 3 children TEFL changed my life considerably. I would like to encourage other "oldies" to take the step and experience a whole new world of opportunities, people and friends.
