ITTT’s TEFL Diploma course is the most advanced online course option we offer. The course has been specifically designed for practicing teachers who have already completed a regular TEFL training course and are looking to take their teaching knowledge and skills to a higher level.
There are many individual reasons for completing our TEFL Diploma course, such as:
The course is divided into 12 separate modules as outlined below:
The first eleven course modules each require around 16 hours of study time, giving a total of approximately 175 hours. The final module includes a research based thesis that normally takes in the region of 75 hours to complete. Overall, you should expect the TEFL Diploma course to take roughly 250 hours of study time.
Our advanced diploma course covers a wide variety of in-depth topics, ranging from educational theories to teaching material design. The overall aim of the course is to give you a clearer understanding of your role as an EFL teacher.
As you progress through the course modules you should find that you gradually develop a wide range of transferable skills that will be of great benefit both inside and outside of the classroom, especially things such as essay writing and research related techniques.
If you choose the diploma course you will receive a task sheet with each module which you can use to monitor your own progress through the course. After working through the first six modules you will be given a test that covers the topics that you have studied up to that point. Once you have successfully completed the test, you then carry on with modules 7 to 11 which will also be followed by a test that covers the second half of the course content. After completing the second test you will finish the course by submitting a research project that is outlined in module 12.
Once you have successfully completed all the task sheets and the research project, you will graduate from the course and receive your online TEFL Diploma certificate.
Choosing the tutored option for the diploma course means you will have access to the support and assistance of an experienced online tutor for the duration of your studies. You will be able to contact your tutor at any time with any questions or problems you may have, and they will respond with helpful advice as quickly as possible.
