Hello from TEFL International. Before you commit to studying with us, there are some basic rules we would like you to follow for your TEFL International special program, which includes: The Special Thai Program; Special China Program; Special Vietnamese Program; GO MAD Program; or Design For Change Program

By now you have probably filled out the application online. Thank you. it contains important information we need to make your experience successful and safe.

Now you must decide if you wish to commit or not. To commit, and to have a place on a specific course guaranteed, you must pay the required course admin / tuition fees. But please remember, if for any reason you wish to subsequently cancel your place on the course after your payment of your fees have been paid, TEFL International cannot provide any refund except for exceptional circumstances. The course organizer's decision is final. In any case, the fee is non-refundable. The reason for this is that the staffing for the course and accommodation have fixed costs which have to be paid for in advance and based on a specific number of course members in the group. The college cannot guarantee to replace course members who subsequently drop out. No refunds are provided except in exceptional circumstances.

We also need to keep students around the world safe. So as part of our pre-screening process, applicants are requested to submit an account of their personal history and background and of their motives for joining the course, as well as their future aspirations. Inaccuracies or fraudulent claims in the application are grounds for dismissal from the course.

The course fee is based on your satisfactory completing all the course assessments, including Teaching Practices, within the four weeks. If for any reason you do not complete these satisfactorily within the period and it is agreed that an extension of time or further Teaching Practices are possible later, you will be liable to additional charges to cover additional staff time. These are USD$35 for each Teaching Practice and USD$20 for each piece of written work.

If you withdraw from the moderation of your current course and wish to enter moderation on a later course, an additional moderation fee must be paid.

Cancellations are extremely rare. Yet, if for some reason we cancel a course, we will offer trainees a transfer to another training center of our choice with transportation paid or priority enroll in a future course with a $300 discount.

The TEFL International TESOL certificate is not graded and the final certificate will usually be available on the last day of the program (after your finish your program commitments).

Although TEFL International staff and partners do our best to honour requests on our programs, TEFL International makes no guarantees program participants will be located in a certain geographical region or with other program participants. Should you disagree with this condition please do not sign up for any of our special programs. Instead sign up for a full four-week regular Certificate or Diploma course.

Outside of the course fees given, participants are also liable for:

1. Any costs related to getting their visas: tourist, non-immigrant B or work permit.

2. Costs related to government-regulated Thai teacher licensing.

3. Travel costs on getting to the teacher training center.

4. Accommodation costs before or after the given program dates, and between the four week teacher training course and the date their teaching or volunteer placement begins.

All course members are liable to the disciplinary regulations of the center. The course director's decision is final and dismissal from the course is not grounds for a refund.

Although TEFL International staff do their utmost to make our special program a wonderful experience for program participants, please note that sometimes circumstances may require flexibility and TEFL International reserves the right to make changes to the course timetable in such circumstance.
